Terms of Service

These terms describe the rules for using Iroko Skills Academy. The Privacy Notice explains information handling.
Agreement and eligibility
By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and any product-specific terms shown at enrollment or checkout. You must meet the minimum age to consent to online services where you live. If you use the service for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to act for it.
Using the service
You must provide accurate account information, protect your credentials, and use only accounts and organization access assigned to you. Authenticator MFA is available as an optional account safeguard. You may not evade access controls, probe other users' data, disrupt the service, upload malware, scrape at harmful scale, impersonate others, or use the platform for unlawful, deceptive, or abusive activity.
Learning and assessments
Course requirements, prerequisites, rubrics, passing criteria, instructor attribution, and completion rules are shown with the applicable content. You are responsible for your own work and must follow stated collaboration and academic-integrity rules. Standard self-paced completion certificates may be issued automatically after documented lesson and server-graded quiz requirements are met. Subjective project grading and verified-proficiency decisions may use authorized human review, with appeals available for eligible decisions.
AI learning companion
AI responses can be incomplete or wrong and are educational assistance, not professional, legal, medical, financial, or employment advice. Do not submit secrets or unnecessary sensitive information. You must independently evaluate outputs. The companion cannot publish content, change roles or payments, grant scholarships, issue credentials, execute unrestricted code, or make final high-stakes grading decisions.
Certificates, portfolios, and outcomes
Platform badges and certificates describe the recorded achievement level and criteria. They are not accredited qualifications unless accreditation is expressly identified. Public portfolio links are user-controlled and revocable. Iroko Skills Academy does not guarantee employment, admission, income, contracts, business success, or any third-party outcome.
Payments, renewals, cancellations, and refunds
The server-displayed checkout identifies the product, price, currency, billing frequency, included features, and applicable renewal terms. Paid access begins only after provider-confirmed payment. Subscription management and cancellation options are available through the billing area when supported, or through support. Refund eligibility follows the terms shown at purchase and mandatory local consumer rights; approved refunds can revoke the corresponding entitlement. Taxes and currency availability depend on the enabled market.
Scholarships, sponsors, and opportunities
Scholarships and sponsored seats are limited, eligibility-based, and not guaranteed by applying. Authorized reviewers record decisions and rationales. Sponsor reporting is restricted to permitted cohort data and aggregate outcomes. Opportunity listings link to independent third parties, may change after verification, and are not job offers or endorsements; verify requirements before applying and never pay suspicious application fees.
Your content and platform content
You retain ownership of eligible original submissions. You grant Iroko Skills Academy a limited license to host, process, reproduce, and display them only as needed to provide, secure, support, and administer the service and user-controlled sharing. You must have rights to anything you upload. Course materials, software, branding, and platform content remain protected and may be used only for authorized personal or organizational learning unless separate terms permit more.
Availability and account action
We may update, suspend, or discontinue features for security, legal, provider, or operational reasons. We may restrict or terminate access for material violations, fraud, threats, nonpayment, or legal requirements, using notice and review where appropriate. Data requests and required record retention continue to follow the Privacy Notice.
Disclaimers and responsibility
The service is provided with reasonable care, but availability, third-party services, external links, and error-free operation are not guaranteed. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable. Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory consumer rights or liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
Changes to the service or terms
We may improve or change features, course availability, or these terms. Material changes will be communicated through the service or account contact information with reasonable notice when required. Continuing to use the service after the effective date means the revised terms apply, except where law requires renewed consent.
General provisions
If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a term is not a waiver. You may not transfer your account or these terms without permission. We may transfer the agreement as part of a lawful reorganization, financing, or sale while preserving applicable user rights.
